Queen Elizabeth National park is an exceptional safari destination with most of Uganda’s wildlife like the Elephant, Buffaloes, waterbucks, warthogs, Uganda kob, wild dogs, hyenas, leopards, and lions among other wildlife species. Kibale is also another exciting park with the highest number of Chimps in the great lakes region! It has over 1500 individuals that have been habituated and can be tracked without any worries to the guests and the Chimps themselves. This trip will bring you up and close to the closest relatives to humans in the forest and a variety of wildlife in a very short period.
Day 1: Pick up at the airport and transfer to the Hotel
You will be picked from the airport by our professional driver and guide from the airport after arrival. Transfer to the Hotel in Entebbe to retire from the long flight, have dinner, and night stay.
Day 2: Transfer to Kibale National Park
After an early breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to Kibale National Park the home of the chimpanzees. We will drive through Kampala and proceed to Kibale Park arriving in the afternoon and if time allows doing a nature walk to catch up with several bird species, primates, butterflies, and several plant species. Return to the lodge for diner and night stay at Chimpanzee Guest House.
Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking
This day begins with a special briefing by the park staff on the clear guideline for tracking the chimps in the forest. A team of guests will be allowed to visit the chimps and are given a full hour in the presence of the Chimps. Kibale has over 13 primate species which may be encountered during this tour. Return to the lodge for lunch after this experience and prepare for a swamp walk. This nature walk to Bigodi swamp gives you an opportunity to watch several other primate species that you could have missed, birds and butterflies among others. Return to the lodge, have dinner, and night stay.
Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After you breakfast in the morning at the lodge, you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth through Fortportal to arriving in the afternoon hours of the day. You will have an evening game drive in the park to catch up with wildlife including; elephants, waterbucks, leopards, lions, buffaloes, warthogs, impalas, hyenas, and wild dogs among others. Dinner and night stay at the lodge.
Day 5: Game Drive and Boat Cruise
You will start this beautiful day with a morning game drive for a chance to watch the early hunting cats like the lions and leopards hunting. Several wildlife is watched feeding in the morning hours which is their most active time of the day. Return to the lodge for lunch and prepare for the afternoon activities. Launch the boat cruise in the afternoon at the renowned Kazinga Channel to catchup with schools of hippos and the Nile crocodiles. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Drive back to Kampala/ Entebbe
Drive off in the morning and continue to the airport for departure.
