The 5 days Uganda safari will lead you to the gentle giants in the Bwindi forest and to the big five in the famous Queen Elizabeth National Park. The boat ride at the Kazinga Channel is also a highlight of this 5 days Uganda tour.
Day 1: Transfer from Entebbe to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Our company driver/guide will pick you from your hotel/lodge and set off early after an early breakfast and drive towards Queen Elizabeth National Park. The journey takes you 6-7 hours arriving in the evening hours. You will have to rest at the lodge this evening, have dinner, and night at the lodge.
Day 2: Game drive and boat cruise at the Kazinga Channel
After the morning meal at the lodge, you will set off for a game viewing time in the park with our professional guide. Queen Elizabeth National Park boasts in a number of wildlife including elephants, warthogs, buffaloes, giraffes, bushbucks, impalas, leopards, lions, wild dogs. Our guides know how to navigate through the protected areas in order to be able to catch up with the animals. Return to the lodge for lunch. Launch a boat cruise at the famous Kazinga channel to catch up with the Hippos and the Nile crocodiles as they sunbathe at the shores of this channel that connects Lakes George and Kyoga. After this delightful day will drive to the lodge to rest, have your evening meal and night stay there.
Day 3: Lion tracking and transfer to Bwindi NP
After the morning breakfast at your hotel, you will head out with your safari guide after checking out of the lodge and go for tree climbing lion tracking. The tree-climbing lions live in the Ishasha sector of Queen. The lions are seen lying in the big trees or sometimes hunting the helpless animals. This experience will be a bit short as you will be proceeding to Bwindi National park through Kanungu district. You will arrive in the evening hours and check in to the lodge for dinner and overnight there.
Day 4: Gorilla tracking
Start the day with a nice meal at the lodge and drive to the park offices for briefing and allocation of habituated gorilla groups to track. You will then hit the jungle to meet the mountain Gorillas where you will be allowed to spend one hour with them. You will then return to the lodge for lunch and head to the community to interact with the locals in the surrounding villages. Performances from the local people will feed your mind with lasting memories of the African culture. Dinner and night stay at the lodge.
Day 5: Return to Entebbe
Set off for Kampala early after breakfast, you will have a short stopover at Igongo cultural center where you will learn about the Ankole culture from the traditional performances. You will also enjoy watching the Ankole long-horned cattle as you drive through this area. You will later arrive in the evening and proceed to the airport.
