Explore Uganda’s largest and oldest National Park in a 2 days tour to this park located in the northwest of Uganda. Murchison falls national park boasts of a wide variety of mammals including the big 5. The large herds of Elephants, Buffaloes, impalas, kobs, bushbucks, hippos, Giraffes, Baboons, and monkeys among other mammal species in this protected area.
Day 1: Kampala to Murchison Falls –Evening launch Cruise
Set off early in the morning after a nice breakfast at the lodge and drive off towards Murchison Falls National Park. The drive will take you about 4-6 hours to arrive early enough to catch up with a ferry to cross the Nile and launch the boat cruise. The launch to the bottom of the falls gives you epic views of the falls as the Nile forces its way through a 7-meter gorge before exploding downwards to form an overflow of a large water body where boats ride. You will set your eyes on the Nile crocodiles either swimming in the waters or on the shores sunbathing. Large hippos are also seen here while other mammals are seen coming to cool off the hot weather at the Nile waters. Retire at the lodge later and have dinner and overnight there.
Day 2: Game drive and departure
You will start with a breakfast at the lodge and head for an exclusive game viewing experience this morning to watch the different wild creatures that include the big5. The lions, leopards, Giraffes, buffaloes, Impalas, elephants, baboons among others are seen roaming around the park. After this exciting moment, you will set off for Kampala. There will have a lunch break on the way and proceed to Kampala to end your trip there.
